Skills training and employment linkage

For youth over 16 or who completes Higher Secondary School

Youth who complete their secondary schooling are either sent to vocational schools for professional technical training or to general education, depending on their preference. Training for the Technical SEE level lasts eighteen months which includes six months of on-the-job training. After completion of the course, the youth are linked with employment. This ensures that they are safely integrated into society. With skills in their hands, they can earn enough money and lead a decent life when they leave the organization. Once they complete the Technical SEE, they can enroll in a three-year diploma course after two years of work experience or a four-year engineering course if they are interested.

With the acquired skills, they can also set up their own business. They can expect to earn $180 to $200 per month, which is enough to support themselves. Since the program was introduced in 2017, 11 youths have completed training and are financially independent.
